How Long Does Conveyancing Take
Our standard time frames for a Freehold sale or purchase is around 10 weeks although we have handled many transactions which have gone through in a quicker time frame. It is important that we are honest with clients so it is very difficult to give you an exact time frame as there is normally a number of 3rd parties involved and each will have to ensure that they have completed their part correctly. Whilst we know everybody is keen to move as quickly as possible, the process has to be completed with the required level of due diligence to ensure you as our client is advised correctly.
Can I Speed Up The Process
There are some steps whereby you can help to ensure the process moves at a faster pace. This can vary from returning documents quickly and also making sure payments for disbursements are done so in a timely fashion. Disbursements such as searches and ID checks can take time. This is why we like to order both the ID/AML Searches & the Local & Water Searches on the day of instruction so that we get these under way within 24 hours.
